The British Embassy in Phnom Penh is seeking proposals for the fiscal year 2017-18 under Global Britain Fund with an aim to support democratic and sustainable development, improve the business environment and build support and capacity for future generations of Cambodia’s political and business leaders.
The purpose of this fund is to support British Embassy areas of interest and activity.
Focus Areas
- Advancing and promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) education in Cambodia
- Ensuring democratic, transparent and effectively monitored elections with a high level of participation (Commune and National)
- Supporting outreach, education and legacy aspects of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC)
- Business opportunities in renewable energies, e/commerce (particularly around street address mapping) and Technical and Vocational Educational Training (TVET)
Funding Information
Project budgets should be for a single year for activities undertaken over the period April 2017 to March 2018, up to a maximum cost of £80,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The project is looking for creative and original project ideas which could help us achieve any of the above goals.
- Successful bids will be for innovative activities that will have the greatest impact and deliver real change.
- The program are less interested in proposals which focus purely on seminars, workshops or the production of research reports as ends in themselves. Instead, proposals should include action-oriented ideas which will bring about concrete outcomes.
