The Bupa Foundation is accepting application for its Community Grants which aims to respond to issues that are critical to the physical and mental health and wellbeing of people, both now and in the future.
Focus Areas
- Applications must align to one or more of the Bupa Foundation’s focus areas:
- Healthy minds – building mentally healthy and resilient communities
- Healthy planet, healthy people – supporting a healthy planet for healthy people
Funding Information
- Community organisations have the opportunity to share in a total of $600,000 in grants, aimed at supporting programs that contribute positively to mentally healthy and sustainable societies.
- As a health promotion charity, they are committed to making a positive impact on communities by offering funding of up to $10,000 for eligible organisations and charities conducting innovative projects and initiatives designed to positively impact the communities where Bupa operates.
Eligible Activities
- Items and activities that may be funded include, but are not limited to:
- Communications, including website setup, online forums, newsletters and advertising
- Equipment, supplies or materials, including electronic equipment (e.g. tools, computers and tablets)
- Project evaluation
- Outreach and referral support
- Program coordination and facilitation
- Refreshments (excluding alcohol)
- Skills development, training and workshops
- Venue hire, including furniture hire/purchase
Ineligible Activities
- Programs delivered in a country which isn’t either Australia or New Zealand.
- General funding for an organisation.
- Core operating and administrative costs of an organisation (not related to the program), e.g. conferences and seminars, travel, salaries, office or general equipment.
- Capital works projects or commercial requests.
- General fundraising appeals or fundraising activities, for example charity golf days, dinners, advertising.
- Requests for grants for the purpose of raising funds for a third party.
- Political or religious activities.
- Requests for grants that benefit particular individuals or families.
- Programs that may present a hazard to the community or the environment.
- Programs or initiatives that may be construed as prejudiced or discriminatory
Eligibility Criteria
- Community organisations registered in Australia or New Zealand as a not-for profit or charitable organisation can apply.
- Organisations may submit up to a maximum of one application per focus area: Healthy minds or Healthy planet, healthy people, but only one grant will be awarded per organisation.
