The United United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is accepting applications to support civil society organizations in their contributions aimed at improving accountability and transparency in public management, by producing analyses and recommendations accessible to decision-makers and the public, and more specifically, contribute to the implementation of the future national anti-corruption strategy.
Objectives
- Support CSOs in conducting in-depth analyses and assessments on governance, transparency, and the fight against corruption, including in the areas of justice, public procurement and private-public collaboration, public administration, etc.
- Facilitate the production and dissemination of biannual analytical reports on trends and progress in accountability and the fight against corruption.
- Strengthen the capacities of CSOs in advocacy and awareness-raising on transparency, the fight against corruption, and good governance.
- Encourage the organization of meetings, dialogues, and press conferences at the local and national levels to promote civic and institutional engagement.
- Strengthen the institutional capacities of CSOs to enhance their contributions to the monitoring and implementation of the national anti-corruption strategy.
Funding Information
- Funding will be awarded in the form of a grant with a budget not exceeding BIF 144,630,150 for all grants in this call for proposals.
Duration
- Project duration: 8 months, with the possibility of extension depending on the results obtained.
Eligibility Criteria
- Interested organizations must meet the following criteria:
- Be a legally registered civil society organization in Burundi.
- Have at least 5 years of experience in the fields of governance, transparency, advocacy, and/or public financial management.
- Have a demonstrated ability to conduct advocacy and rigorous analysis, and effectively communicate results in these areas.
- Present a clear methodology for the production and dissemination of biannual analytical reports.
- Proposals involving a partnership or collaboration between several civil society organizations will be highly valued.
- Submit the technical and financial proposal according to the submitted form and have qualified human resources.
