Fundación MAPFRE has announced a call for research grants for a maximum total value of 300,000 euros, with the aim of financially supporting research projects in the following areas: health promotion; and insurance and social security.
At Fundación MAPFRE to support and promote research to improve the quality of life of the people who make up the society. That is why each year they organize the international Ignacio H. de Larramendi Research Grants, with the aim of supporting research related to two of the fields of action: health promotion; and insurance and social security.
The grants are aimed at researchers or research teams led by a researcher (in both cases, that researcher, the Principal Investigator, must be the only one per project for the purposes of the application) from the academic and professional fields, who wish to develop research programs in the mentioned topics, independently or as part of the universities, hospitals, companies or research centers to which they are affiliated.
Fundación MAPFRE would like to highlight the work of researchers and research teams in the academic and professional fields who carry out their work either independently or within the framework of the universities, hospitals, companies or research centers to which they are affiliated.
Research Fields
- The research projects must be in the following fields:
- Health Promotion: grants will be awarded up to a maximum gross value of 30,000 euros each.
- Strategies and education that change habits: prevention of obesity, the promotion of physical activity and emotional well-being (including the appropriate use of new technologies).
- Emergency response training for the general population.
- Assessment of bodily harm: assessment of the consequences of an event (traumatic or accidental, medical negligence, aggression or disease) on the health of the individual and its repercussions on the core activities of ordinary life and other specific personal development activities (moral damage, loss of quality of life).
- Health management: clinical quality and safety.
- Longevity and how lifestyle influences this.
- Insurance and Social Protection: grants will be awarded up to a maximum gross value of 15,000 euros per grant.
- Insurance.
- Risk management.
- New technologies in the insurance field.
- Social protection: pensions, savings, investment, asset liquidation and the Silver Economy (longevity economics).
- Health Promotion: grants will be awarded up to a maximum gross value of 30,000 euros each.
Funding Information
- The maximum gross amount for each grant will be as follows:
- Health Promotion: 30,000 euros.
- Insurance and Social Protection: 15,000 euros.
Eligibility Criteria
- According to the rules governing the call, the grants are international in nature. People or institutions from any country may submit their application as long as they do so in one of the three languages included in the call: Spanish, English or Portuguese.
