The Brussels-Capital Region (BCR) wants to contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations and more specifically to the global eradication of poverty through sustainable and inclusive economic development.
Goal
- This call for projects was created to support sustainable and inclusive economic development projects in developing countries.
- The projects must be implemented:
- in an urban or semi-urban context.
- in one of the BCR’s three partner regions: City-Province of Kinshasa (DRC), the Region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (Morocco) and the occupied Palestinian Territory (West Bank and East Jerusalem – the Gaza strip being excluded from the scope of this call).
Funding Information
- In 2025, a budget of € 430,000 is allocated for this call for projects.
- With this call for projects, the BCR wishes to provide support to a maximum number of projects in the range of € 10,000 to € 110,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The call for projects is open to recognised civil society organisations as well as other Belgian non-profit organisations (ASBL/VZW).
- In the latter case, this includes organisations actively engaged in the field of international solidarity as well as associations focusing on economic development.
