The Fondation Franklinia is accepting proposals for its Grant Program to preserve threatened tree species, avoid their extinction and improve their conservation status.
Duration
- Projects must implement concrete on-the-ground conservation actions and can span over a period of up to 3 years.
Geographic Focus
- For this call, the Foundation will only accept projects implemented in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Eligibility Criteria
- Any organisation with well-established expertise and efficiency in plant conservation can apply. No more than one project can be submitted per organisation.
- Where possible, projects should support the implementation of existing Threatened Tree Species Conservation Action Plans, Forest Landscape Conservation & Restoration Strategies, relevant CEPF recommendations and/or conservation actions in Key Biodiversity Areas where tree species have been identified as trigger species.
- Projects must demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with others, share lessons learned, data and results and to contribute to efficient coordination at the national level.
- Projects where conservation NGOs collaborate with and benefit from the expertise of botanists and botanical gardens will be favoured.
