The Africa CDC, African Union, and the Mastercard Foundation invite proposals from implementing partners to provide implementation services to support implementation research in relation to COVID-19 vaccination rollout in African Union Member States.
- COVID-19 immunisation, mortality, and morbidity, and
- other health services:
- To estimate the real-world effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccination in Africa and compare the risk for severe outcomes of COVID-19 disease in fully vaccinated individuals with laboratory-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection (vaccine breakthrough infections) with those in unvaccinated and partially vaccinated individuals.
- To explore behaviour change over time of COVID-19 vaccine perception among individuals of different societal structures and in different geographies.
- To evaluate the impact of the Programme on strengthening routine immunization programmes.
- The total indicative envelope available for this Call for Proposals is up to USD 2 million for the duration of the Programme.
- The planned duration of an action may not be lower than 3 Months nor exceed 36 Months.
- North Africa Region (7 African Union Member States)
- East Africa Region (14 African Union Member States)
- Central African Region (9 African Union Member States)
- West African Region (15 African Union Member States)
- Southern African Region (10 African Union Member States)
- be an entity with legal personality, and
- not be a Governmental Organisation, and
- be a not-for-profit organisation, and
- be an Indigenous African Organisation, and
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with their Partners, not acting as an intermediary.
