The UN Women is pleased to announce a Call for Proposals that aim to produce awareness raising products on GBV related services and supporting the Iraqi Government in the development of the communication strategy for the Iraqi National Action Plan (NAP).
Objective
To contribute to producing awareness raising products on GBV related services and supporting the Iraqi Government in the development of the communication strategy for the Iraqi National Action Plan (NAP).
The objective falls under the following Impact Areas/SP Outcomes and Output Clusters:
- Impact Area 4 / SP Outcome: Women and girls contribute and have greater influence in building sustainable peace and resilience and benefit equally from the prevention of natural disasters and conflicts and from humanitarian action.
- Outcome : A conducive environment is enabled, and national institutions supported, to ensure validation, endorsement and implementation of a National Action Plan on UNSCR 1325
- Output : Women and girls at risk and SGBV survivors have access to comprehensive redress, including justice, appropriate health and psychological support service.
- The budget range for this proposal should be[Min. $75,000–Max. 85,000$per NGO].
Activities
- Produce awareness raising activities and campaignsfor the commemoration of GEWE, WPP and WPS.
- Produce knowledge products on GBV related services which includes designs, printing, dissemination, and audio video production.
- Provide logistical and technical support to the development and implementation of NAP 1325 communication strategy.
Note: proposed activities need to be adaptable to the evolving context, movement restrictions and available access. Selected organizations are expected to closely follow WHO and government-issued COVID-19 health guidelines, as well as including necessary sanitary supplies and disinfecting procedures in activities and budgets where appropriate.
Competencies
In the selection of partners, the following competencies will be considered:
- The soundness of technical competency described in the approach to the project as described in the Terms of Reference for the Call for Proposals, to be demonstrated by a track record of successful programmatic interventions.
- Capacity to deliver expected results: governance and management competency, and financial and administrative competency, demonstrated by previous partnerships with UN Women orother donor organizations.
- The relevance of the mandate and the role of the organization to implement expected results and to contribute to the sustainability of said results, demonstrated by expertise in gender-related work and community outreach.
- UN-WOMEN invite qualified parties to submit Technical and Financial Proposals to provide services associated with the UN-WOMEN requirement for Responsible Party.
- UN-Women is soliciting proposals from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).Women’s organizations or entities are highly encouraged to apply.
