Deadline: 12-Jun-25
The “La Caixa” Foundation presents the Castile and León Call for Social Projects.
The purpose of this call is to collaborate with social organizations developing projects in Castile and León to promote initiatives specifically aimed at people in situations of social vulnerability, the goal of which is to improve their quality of life and promote equal opportunities.
Focus Areas
- Elderly people: In this area, they aim to promote projects that foster self-governance and empowerment among older adults, based on a holistic, personalized approach that connects with the environment and the community.
- Disability, mental disorder or illness: In this area, they aim to promote support for people with disabilities and/or mental disorders by enhancing empowerment, promoting personal autonomy and/or independent living, and supporting activities of daily living.
- Poverty and social inclusion: This area aims, first and foremost, to contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty and its chronicity by empowering children and adolescents and strengthening families as the focus of socio-educational action.
Transversal Lines of Action
- All of these are understood as social action activities that can be applied across different areas of activity, with adaptation to each one.
- Socio-laboral integration: Employment is one of the key factors in preventing poverty and social exclusion, and it is essential that it be provided in decent and stable conditions.
- Access to temporary residential resources: Access to decent and adequate housing is a key factor for social inclusion, emancipation, and the exercise of citizenship.
- Intercultural coexistence: They want to contribute to building a more diverse and inclusive society by promoting social intervention projects to improve intercultural coexistence and social cohesion.
- Promotion of healthy habits and emotional management: There is room for initiatives that seek to contribute to the development of comprehensive health and well-being for people in vulnerable situations.
- Prevention of violence and addictions: Educational and preventive measures remain necessary to address the rise in addictive behaviors and violence (gender-related, in childhood and adolescence, related to bullying, among others).
- Culture as a tool for social inclusion: Art and culture have proven to be a powerful tool for fostering inclusion and social cohesion. Participating in culture can contribute to improved health and well-being, both individually and collectively, by strengthening trust, fostering communication, and empowering people.
- Digital inclusion: To ensure that people can contribute to the digital world and benefit from the opportunities it offers, actions that facilitate access to technological tools and resources for those who face greater difficulties (whether due to age, geographic location, social or economic status, or abilities) and that promote the development of the skills necessary to use these technologies are important.
