The World Health Organisation (WHO) is seeking proposals from eligible entities for its program entitled “Implementing of The National Household Health Survey – Prevalence of Non-communicable Disease (NCD) Risk Factors” in Turkey”.
The goal is to determine the prevalence of major risk factors for NCDs using WHO-approved methods by using “National Household Health Survey – Prevalence of Non-communicable Disease Risk Factors” in Turkey for evaluation of the baseline situation and more efficient planning of activities for the prevention and control of NCDs.
Objectives
- To determine the prevalence of the most common behavioural risk factors of NCDs in the general population representing both genders and aged 15 years and older.
- To determine the prevalence of the most common behavioural risk factors of NCDs in the population representing in NUTS I level in 12 regions.
- To determine the prevalence of the most common behavioural risk factors of NCDs- such as hypertension, hypercholesterolemia and diabetes- in the population aged 15 years and older.
- To determine the prevalence of the most common behavioural risk factors between sexes, areas of residence and across 4 age groups.
Eligibility Criteria
- The implementing partner shall be institution operating in the field of epidemiological studies, social studies, market studies, political studies, public polls and similar areas for at least the last five years and must hold ISO 20252 management system certificate.
- Previous work with WHO, other international organisations and/or major institutions in the field of Epidemiological field studies, clinical and observational studies, blood resting and blood collection, biologic material, transferring, sampling, data collection, management and statistical analysis of data, training of field staff and reporting.
- Proven experience in clinical and epidemiologic researchers and large-scale national representatives surveys.
- Completing a work of similar nature within the last five years.
- The implementing partners shall not have worked for or corporate with the tobacco, alcohol and food and beverages industry and shall not have any conflict of interest with the tobacco alcohol and food and beverages industry
