The World Health Organisation (WHO) is seeking proposals from eligible entities for a program entitled “Communication campaign to eliminate the information barriers to health services and promote the newly available Primary Health Care services in Greece”.
The Division of Heath Systems and Public Health contributes to the development and promotion of new European Health Policy 2020, the strengthening of the European Public Health Strengthening Action Framework, National Health Policies, Plans and Strategies and knowledge base in the broad thematic areas of health systems governance, financing, organisation, services delivery, and resource generation in collaboration with other relevant international, regional, national and non-governmental partners.
The objective of the program is to eliminate information barriers to health services by informing the population and services providers about the new entitlements and mechanisms put in place to benefit from those entitlements. The mission on the WHO Regional office for Europe is to support Member States in:
- developing and sustaining their own health policies, health systems and public health program.
- Working to prevent outcomes threats to heath
- Anticipating future challenges.
- Advocating public health
Objectives
The objective of Division of Heath Systems and Public Health is:
- To develop in the WHO European Region the strategic capacity to assist Member States to design, establish and promote comprehensive public health and health systems policies.
- To enable countries to benefit from international experience in reforming their health systems and public health services stressing quality, accessibility and efficient use of resources.
Eligibility Criteria
- The provider shall be an institution operating in the field of communication, media production and printing, with proven expertise in health and heath sector related areas.
- Previous work with WHO, other international organisations and/or major institutions in the field of public health. Promoting behavior change, promoting access to health services, promoting healthy lifestyle, etc.
- Proven experience in planning and implementing nation-wide communication campaigns, targeting the general population/vulnerable groups and/or health workers, and sing different channels (TV, radio, print media, social media networks, interpersonal communication etc.)
