The Embassy and Consulate General of the Netherlands in Italy launch a call to promote cooperation between Dutch and Italian professionals and cultural institutions.
Through cooperation, Dutch architects and planners can enter into dialogue with their Italian colleagues and the public to develop new lines of work for a more sustainable future.
This call is addressed to Italian cultural organizations active in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture and urban planning. The call allows you to explore new Italian-Dutch collaborations and is open to innovative projects dedicated to sustainability. Some possible themes are water management, urban greening, energy transition, mobility and heritage adaptation.
What they offer?
- A total of 12,000 euros are available for this call. They will therefore select a limited number of projects.
- The grant is no more than 50% of the total project budget.
- Both the Dutch and the Italian partners contribute to the project, through a participation in the budget, dedicated hours or structures made available.
- The funds are transferred to the Italian partner (legal entity), who is responsible for paying the Dutch partners and any third parties.
- Grants are granted only if the resources of the Embassy and the Consulate General are sufficient. Only part of the applications will be accepted. In case of admission, the amount awarded may be less than the sum requested.
- The grant is awarded in compliance with art. 2 of the Framework Law on Subsidies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, of the Subsidies Decree of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, and of Arts. 8.1 and 8.2 of the Subsidies Regulation of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs 2006.
What are they looking for?
- Italian-Dutch creative projects that intend to address issues related to sustainability in a concrete and innovative way.
- A project that aims to investigate a concrete situation and / or to develop lines of work. The project plan must frame the context clearly and argue the question underlying the project.
- In the project plan a clear link is identified between the objectives and the proposed activities.
- The results of the project are clearly described. Among the possible projects, the creation of new works, online or offline publications, audiovisual material, new plans and lines of work, the creation of networks and platforms.
- Support is reserved for projects resulting from new partnerships.
- The proposal must be developed by at least one Dutch and one Italian partner, each with a clear role within the project.
- By “Dutch partner” they mean creative professionals and studios based in the Netherlands. Citizens of other countries are also admitted as long as they are active in the Netherlands. The applicant illustrates the clear Dutch profile of the project in the proposal.
- Priority is given to projects that produce concrete results.
- Priority is given to projects involving active public involvement.
Eligibility Criteria
The call is open to Italian-Dutch cooperation projects that can contribute to the solution of a concrete problem linked to sustainability. The proposed project stems from an analysis of the specific theme and context. The results of the proposed activities must be clearly described, presented to the public and freely accessible to interested parties.
