The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme, under the GAC-funded BEST4WEER project, invites proposals from women-led and women-serving civil society organisations (CSOs) working on women’s social and economic empowerment.
Benefits
- The selected Civil Society Organisations will receive micro-financial support, technical assistance and help with legal compliance.
Support Areas
- Facilitation of Audits
- Assistance in filing annual returns to the registrar’s office.
- Financial support in obtaining and renewing licenses and registrations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible CSO types include:
- NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations)
- CBOs (Community-Based Organizations)
- Welfare and Charitable Organizations
- Advocacy and Rights-Based Organizations
- Professional Associations and Chambers
- Trade Unions and Labor Federations
- Faith-Based Organizations
- Think Tanks and Research Institutions
- Youth and Student Organizations
- Media and Cultural Organizations
- Cooperatives and Federations
- Women-Led and Gender-Focused Organizations
- Must be registered under any of the following:
- Societies Registration Act, 1860
- Trusts Act, 1882
- Companies Ordinance, 1984
- Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies
- Must maintain an active bank account
- Must be a Women-Led or Women-Serving organization
