Applications are now open for its Neighbourhood Projects Program to support City of Charles Sturt residents to lead and collaborate to create and deliver small scale projects to improve their street, public spaces and neighbourhood.
Priorities
- Projects and initiatives that:
- Are collaborative (involving multiple residents)
- Improve the liveability of the streets, public places and neighbourhoods
- Extend skills and experiences of the community
- Are maintained by the local community
Funding Information
- Up to $2,000 (Excl GST).
- Funding is limited to one grant per applicant per financial year.
What can the funding be used for?
- Materials required to deliver the funded project.
The Program does not Support?
- Projects that take place outside the City of Charles Sturt’s boundaries.
- Retrospective funding for completed projects or projects that commenced prior to funding application being submitted.
- For-profit projects or labour costs
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications are invited from City of Charles Sturt residents to assist with material costs to deliver community led small scale projects to improve local streets, public spaces, and neighbourhoods.
- To be considered for funding you must answer yes to all the following:
- My neighbourhood project will be located within the City of Charles Sturt.
- I am requesting funding for a new project that will be delivered before 30 June 2023.
- I am not (or immediate relative of) a City of Charles Sturt staff member or Elected Member.
- I have no outstanding funding acquittals or debts to the City of Charles Sturt (excluding hardship provision for late payment of rates).
- Applicants who have not received funding in the previous financial year will be given a higher priority.
Selection Criteria
- An internal committee will assess your application against the following selection criteria:
- Answered yes to all program eligibility (outlined under ‘am I eligible for funding’)
- Alignment of your neighbourhood project to the ‘expected program outcomes’ and projects that support City of Charles Sturt’s vision for a ‘Leading and Liveable City.’
- Budget items are eligible for funding under this program (outlined under ‘what can the funding be used for.’)
- Project viability (is it achievable within the timeframe and budget).
