The European Commission (EC) is seeking applications to contribute to the Prevention and Elimination of Human Trafficking in the Lao PDR.
Objective
- The global objective of this call for proposals is to contribute to the prevention and elimination of human trafficking in the Lao PDR.
- The specific objective(s) of this call for proposals are:
- Raise awareness about the risks, signs, and prevention of human trafficking among the vulnerable populations, especially girls and women;
- Improve the protection of human trafficking victims.

- The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is EUR 1,750,000, indicative amount of EUR 855,000.00 to be financed under the 2025 budget.
- Size of grants
- Any grant requested under this call for proposals must not exceed the below maximum amount:
- Minimum amount: EUR 1,750,000.00
- Maximum amount: EUR 1,750,000.00

Duration
- The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than, nor exceed, 48 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must:
- be a legal person and
- be non-profit-making and be a civil society organisation (CSO) and its associations and
- be effectively established in the Lao PDR or in a Member State of the European Union or in any other country and
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary and
- in case the lead applicant is established in a Member State of the European Union or any other country, it must have an effectively established country office registered in the relevant ministry of the Lao PDR.
