Applications are now open for the EU-Argentina Trade and Investment in the Green and Digital Sectors (Global Gateway).
Objectives
- The overall objective of this call for proposals is:
- Contribute to the deepening of trade and investment relations between the EU and Argentina in the green and digital sectors.
- The specific objectives of the present call for proposals are:
- OE1: Increase the knowledge of Argentine and EU companies/entrepreneurs and authorities about the opportunities and business conditions relevant to the GGIA in Argentina.
- OE2: Encourage contact between GGIA actors (companies, authorities, financial institutions, civil society, etc.).
- OE3: Provide support to European companies in GGIA commercial/investment projects along the value chain in Argentina.
- (The OE3 is considered the highest priority objective and to which a greater portion of financial resources should be channeled).
Priorities
- The priorities of the current call for proposals are:
- Highlight the importance of GGIA in Argentina as a strategy to solve global challenges.
- Contribute to creating policies, conditions, and business connections to foster new trade and investment in Argentina, as well as develop local value chains.
- Support European entrepreneurs and companies – both based in Argentina and in the EU – to conclude business deals that adhere to the highest standards of commercial sustainability.
Funding Information
- The indicative total amount allocated to this call for proposals is 5,000,000 EUR. The Contracting Authority reserves the right not to award all available funds.
Eligibility Criteria
- Lead applicant
- To be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must:
- be a legal person; and
- be non-profit-making; and
- constitute a specific category of organisation, such as: non-governmental organisation, think tank, chamber of commerce, industry association, business organisation, thematic network dedicated to promoting international trade and/or investment; and
- be effectively established in a Member State of the European Union or one of the other eligible countries in accordance with the legal basis (the NDICI Regulation), and
- be directly responsible, with its co-applicants and other affiliated entities, for the preparation and management of the action and not merely act as an intermediary, and
- To be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must:
- The lead applicant must act with co-applicants, as explained below:
- The lead applicant will act with co-applicants – at least one co-applicant – who covers the appropriate experience and knowledge of the various sectors prioritized in the GGIA in Argentina.
- If the lead applicant is established in a Member State of the European Union, he/she will act with at least one co-applicant established in Argentina.
- If the lead applicant is established in Argentina, he/she will act with at least one co-applicant established in a Member State of the European Union.
- There is no maximum number of co-applicants.
- The lead applicant will not appear as a co-applicant in other proposals of this call.
