The European Union (EU) is currently accepting proposals from eligible organisations for “Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Kosovo- former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia under IPA II 2014 and 2015 allocations” to foster co-operations among institutions and organization in the cross border region in order to support sustainable economic growth and strengthen social cohesion.
The programme is divided into two lots:
- LOT 1: Enhancing competitiveness, business and SME development, trade and investment
- LOT 2 Encouraging tourism, culture and natural heritage
Size of Grants
Any grant requested under this call for proposals for LOT 1 (a+b) & LOT 2 (a+b) must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
- Minimum amount: EUR 100,000.00
- Maximum amount: EUR 200,000.00
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must:
- be a legal person
- be established in either in Kosovo or the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary and
- be a specific type of institution or organisation such as:
- Small and medium enterprises (SMEs);
- Regional and local government institutions;
- Civil society organisations (CSOs) ;
- Business support centres;
- Chambers of commerce;
- Vocational education and training centres;
- Professional tourism and cultural associations;
- Schools and other youth education;
- Regional development centres and agencies.
- Please note that the political parties are not eligible, either as lead applicants or as co-applicants.
- Potential applicants may not participate in calls for proposals or be awarded grants if they are in any of the situations
How to Apply
- The application procedure consists of two phases:
- Concept notes
- Full applications
- In the first instance, only concept notes must be submitted for evaluation. Thereafter, lead applicants who have been pre-selected will be invited to submit a full application.
