The Fondation Ensemble has launched two call for proposals from eligible organisations for its 2017 grant programs.
- On all sector projects (Sustainable agriculture, Sustainable fishing, Biodiversity conservation, Sustainable Technologies) and
- Threatened Animal Species small projects
Funding Information
- The funding requested does not exceed € 8 000.
- The duration of the grant requested is from one to two years.
- The funding requested does not exceed 50% of the total project budget.

Eligibility Criteria
- For the four focus sectors, the following countries are eligible: Ecuador, Peru, Mozambique, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar (new in 2016).
- For ‘Threatened Animal Species’ small grants projects, there are no country restrictions.
- The project contributes to protecting one or more threatened animal species according to the IUCN classification (‘vulnerable’ or more).
- The project is in line with the national strategy of the intervention country.
- The NGO and/or the implementing partner must be registered and allowed to work in the intervention country.
- The project is participatory and partnership-based: it is designed and implemented in conjunction with the relevant populations and with recognized local and/or international partners, and fosters capacity building.
- The project activities are concrete and sustainable, with measurable results.
- The application contains a detailed overall budget (in euros), indicating the costs to be covered by Fondation Ensemble, including administrative costs (10% maximum) that incorporate head office support costs.
- The application indicates the names of all donors and their confirmed or expected contributions.
- The proposal must be written in French or in English.
- The organization must have been in existence for at least two full years.
- The Foundation can provide funding to any non-profit organization engaged in projects implementation in our focus sectors. Therefore NGOs are eligible such as associations, operating foundations, research institutes but also local authorities.
- Endowment funds or foundations are eligible provided they are ‘operating foundations’, i.e. involved in project implementation, either directly themselves, or via local partners. Such involvement must be practical, not only financial.
