The UN Women is requesting grant applications from civil society organizations in the province of Neuquén that develop activities and provide support and promotion services for economic development from an inclusive, sustainable and environmentally friendly approach, in the field of tourism management and intangible cultural heritage, promoting the safeguarding of knowledge, traditions, customs, values and social practices.
Funding Information
- Maximum grant amounts per organization: projects will be funded from ARS $3,500,000 (three million five hundred thousand Argentine pesos) to ARS $13,500,000 (thirteen million five hundred thousand Argentine pesos).

Eligibility Criteria
- Civil society organizations, including foundations, non-governmental organizations, and/or civil associations, that have legal status/registration and are registered and authorized to operate with the National Institute of Associations and Social Economy may submit applications for this call.
- This verification will be carried out by the Provincial Directorate of Legal Entities of the province of Neuquén, part of the Ministry of Provincial Government, and that meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrated experience, verifiable through work references, providing assistance, training, and strengthening of entrepreneurship from a gender and intersectional perspective, as well as a history of tourism and/or cultural promotion initiatives;
- Must have been in force for at least three (3) years;
- Must not appear on the UN Security Council Sanctions List;
- Must not be under investigation for fraud, corruption, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, or other misconduct;
- Must not have received funding from UN Women that has been fully or partially canceled by UN Women;
- Not be currently affiliated with UN Women as a programmatic counterpart;
- Have sufficient capacity to collaborate with various stakeholders;
- Not be a government entity, a UN organization, or a CSO with extensive experience and demonstrated institutional capacity, as in that case, they would qualify for a counterpart agreement;
- Have sufficient financial administration, including appropriate financial procedures and policies to manage the small grant;
- If they have previously received small grants or been affiliated as a programmatic counterpart, the applicant’s last activity must have been considered satisfactory.
- However, in an effort to expand opportunities and extend support to more civil society organizations, priority will be given to those that have not yet received funding from UN Women;
- Demonstrate experience with activities in the province of Neuquén and surrounding areas.
Evaluation Criteria
- The applicant organization must:
- Propose activities aimed at developing and strengthening its institutional capacities, in line with the objectives of component 2 of the Neuquén Equity Project:
- Economic opportunities for Neuquén women through the provision of tools and support for their entrepreneurships and productive projects.
- Not propose using funds intended for the purchase of computer equipment in excess of 30% of the requested budget. This donation cannot be used to finance indirect costs.
- Carry out its activities in Argentina, specifically in the province of Neuquén.
- Present a coherent and solid project that contributes to strengthening its technical and management capacities to promote entrepreneurships and productive projects from a gender-based, inclusive, and environmental preservation perspective.
- Submit a project with activities to be developed that can be implemented within a maximum period of 2 (two) months.
