The grant competition “Access to Justice in the Target Communities of Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Luhansk Oblasts” is administered by ISAR Unity for funding the UN Peacebuilding and Reconstruction Program.
Funding for this grant competition will be supported by the governments of Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
This grant competition is aimed at improving access to justice in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, and the Azov region of Zaporizhia oblast. The expected results of the competition are to improve access to justice (including legal aid in the context of its development and to expand information on how to obtain it) in the outlined target areas.
Funding Information
It is expected that the received project proposals will be funded in the amount of:
- the maximum grant amount for projects covering 1-2 target communities is UAH 81,000;
- the maximum grant amount for projects covering 3 or more target communities is UAH 121,500.
Projects that will be implemented at the expense of this grant competition must be implemented in the territory:
- Communities located along the demarcation line in the territory controlled by the Government of Ukraine (not more than 20 kilometers from the demarcation line);
- Communities located in the Donetsk region (territories controlled by the government of Ukraine);
- Communities located in the territory of Luhansk region (territories controlled by the government of Ukraine);
- Communities located in the Azov region of Zaporizhia region: Berdyansk, communities of Berdyansk district, Melitopol, communities of Melitopol district (Novenska OTG, Semenivska OTG), Priazovska OTG, Primorska OTG, Kyrylivska OTG, Yakymivska.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations with registration in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts (territories controlled by the Government of Ukraine) or in the Azov region of Zaporizhia oblast are admitted to the competition in this area.
- NGOs must apply for project implementation in the area in which these NGOs are registered and have statutory activities.
- In addition, public organizations of the judiciary are allowed to participate in this competition, regardless of their place of registration , subject to the implementation of project activities in the project areas.
