The State Secretariat for Culture is calling for Grants for Projects to Safeguard Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Purpose
- The purpose of the grants offered is to implement projects for the documentation, research, transmission, perpetuation, dissemination, and promotion of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Priority attention will be given to projects affecting intangible cultural assets that have been expressly protected by Cultural Heritage regulations (declared as Representative Manifestation of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Asset of Cultural Interest, or similar) or that are included in the inventory systems, catalogs, or atlases of Intangible Heritage managed by the competent authorities.
- The grants are called for with the following purposes:
- Promote the safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Spain, especially that which is in danger or vulnerable.
- Contribute to the protection and safeguarding of intangible cultural assets declared under Spanish Cultural Heritage regulations.
- Promote the transmission, dissemination, and awareness of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
- Support projects that serve as a framework for action for a group of assets or that propose solutions that contribute to improving the sustainability and management capacities of Intangible Cultural Heritage in general.
- Support projects that help promote the social function of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Funding Information
- The maximum total amount of these grants is €234,000, distributed among the following categories:
- To autonomous communities (budget application 24.05.337B.756): €78,000
- To local entities (budget application 24.05.337B.766): €78,000
- To families and non-profit institutions (budget application 24.05.337B.786): €78,000.
Duration
- Activities covered by this call may be carried out from July 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
- Beneficiaries
- Non-profit legal entities from the public or private sector, which must be legally established by the deadline for submitting applications, may apply for this call for aid: city councils, provincial councils, associations of municipalities and other local entities, non-profit associations and institutions, universities, and entities dependent on autonomous communities.
- Excluded are entities belonging to the state public sector, those entities that, although private, receive a regular budget allocation from the General State Budget, and those entities and/or projects that were beneficiaries of this same aid in the immediately preceding call.
- Applicants must demonstrate their ability and suitability to carry out the activity for which aid is requested.
- Entities other than public administrations (non-profit entities) must bear in mind that the amounts received as subsidies will be subject to the regulations of Law 27/2014, of November 27, on Corporate Income Tax and Royal Decree 634/2015, of July 10, which approves the Corporate Income Tax Regulations.
