Wildlife Acoustics is proud to offer a grant program to support the advancement of wildlife research, habitat monitoring, and environmental conservation.
The quarterly grant program provides scientists with bioacoustics research tools to further their study of bats, birds, amphibians, and other vocal wildlife.
In response to overwhelming demand, they have established a “Kaleidoscope Pro-only” grant option for the esteemed applicants. They value your commitment to making a positive impact and understand that time is of the essence, so they have streamlined these applications to get you back in the field (or lab!) quicker.
Grant Categories
- Standard Product Grant
- Wildlife Acoustics may award up to $12,000 worth of eligible products to selected grant recipients worldwide every quarter. Individual applicants may request products and software licenses totaling up to $4,000 quarterly. They will highlight grant recipients and their projects on their website and social media platforms.
- Kaleidoscope Pro-Only Grant
- Wildlife Acoustics may award an unlimited number of Kaleidoscope Pro licenses to selected grant recipients worldwide every quarter. Individual applicants may request an unlimited number of software licenses.
Eligibility Criteria
- Grant recipients must be associated with a charitable, educational, NGOs, or other tax-exempt organization. Consideration will be given to projects that make significant and novel use of wildlife vocalization recordings for data collection and/or analysis.
- The work advances scientific knowledge and contributes to long-term conservation.
- The grant would have a significant impact on the success of the project.
- The application provides adequate information to facilitate project evaluation, including detailed expected outcomes and the need for bioacoustics data to support those outcomes.
- The project must begin within one year of the award.
- US or Non-US government agencies are not eligible for the program.
- Due to the volume of applications, you may only apply for one project per quarter.
- If you applied and were not awarded a grant, you may re-apply in the future.
- Annual Kaleidoscope Pro subscriptions are eligible for the grant program. In fact, there is a streamlined application for those who wish to apply for a “Kaleidoscope Pro-only” grant. This abbreviated application will appear as an option as you begin to fill in information on the grants interface platform.
- If your country does not grant tax-exempt status or does not provide documentary proof, the online application will allow you to certify that you will and your organization will cover any applicable taxes assessed by your government.
- Please note that, Wildlife Acoustics cannot ship to Cuba, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and Iran, Russia, Crimea, or Belarus, nor to anyone who they know will bring the products to those countries.
