The Humanitarian Innovation Fund (HIF) and Asian Disaster Reduction and Response Network (ADRRN) are inviting applicants for its capacity building workshop in order to strengthen humanitarian innovation in asia-pacific non-governmental organizations.
The workshop will be held on 29 May 2017 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Objectives
- To bring together new partnerships to enhance the innovation process.
- To work with the selected groups to develop their ideas, based on the HIF’s innovation process and funding streams.
- To further develop the community of practice.
- To develop understanding of partnerships and innovation at the local level in the Asia Pacific region.
Benefits
- The workshop will bring together up to nine groups to develop their ideas, with expert guidance based on the HIF’s innovation process, and further opportunities to apply for seed funding and Early Stage Innovation grants of up to £50,000.
- The workshop would offer each of the participants the following:
- Up to £300 travel subsidy for those flying into Indonesia (any extra costs would need to be borne by the participants)
- 4 nights’ accommodation, 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches (participants may stay for extra nights at their own cost)
- 3 days’ fully facilitated workshop
Eligibility Criteria
- Country offices of international NGOs and UN agencies are welcome to apply as lead organisations, but preference will be given to applications where the lead organisation is a legally registered, national organisation based in one of the Asia-Pacific countries.
- Similarly, partnerships where some organisations are based outside the region are welcome to apply, but preference will be given to partnerships formed within the region.
