Deadline: 23-May-24
The Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) is currently accepting applications for the PEACEPLUS Programme, Investment Area 4.1 – Collaborative Health & Social Care (Cross-Border Additction Services) to deliver considerable benefits to the citizen and the Programme area.
Cross-border co-operation will contribute towards the more efficient delivery of health and social care services across the Programme area. This will be achieved through building upon existing collaborative relationships and services on a cross-border basis, which will improve the health and wellbeing of people living in the programme area by enabling them to access quality health and social care services in the most appropriate setting to their needs.
Research undertaken has highlighted a need to support specific mental health interventions, especially within those areas where there are benefits to collaborative, cross-border management approaches. In recognition of the growing problem of addiction across the Programme area, particularly in the context of the trauma of the troubles, addiction services have been identified as a suitable area for support. This area lends itself to gender specific, whole family, community based approaches, which will contribute to many of the most vulnerable citizens leading healthier and more hopeful lives.
PEACEPLUS is funded in partnership by the European Union, the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Government of Ireland, and the Northern Ireland Executive.
