The Keep Australia Beautiful WA Community Litter Grants provide financial support to communities and organisations for the implementation of projects which make lasting changes that reduce litter and change littering behaviour.
Funding Information
- KAB WA will provide grants of up to $10,000 for litter projects, which can include event litter management and education. There is a pool of $60,000 in the 2025-26 Community Litter Grant round.
Eligibility Criteria
- Western Australian organisations must have an ABN registration or be auspiced by an organisation that does.
- Eligible applicants include: local governments, associations, community groups, small to medium enterprises, events, festivals and schools.
- All eligible applications must:
- Be an idea for tackling a litter problem in a local or regional area.
- Demonstrate engagement of stakeholders in the planning and delivery of the project.
- Demonstrate research on the litter problem.
- Provide a project evaluation upon completion.
- Contribute resources towards their project, in-kind of financial.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Funding will not be provided for projects which:
- Are waste recovery or recycling projects and are not focused on litter.
- Only address infrastructure (i.e. only the purchasing and installation of bins).
- Only comprise litter clean-ups.
- Is the same project that has received a prior KAB WA litter grant.
- Projects that have already commenced.
- Payments for travel interstate or overseas
