The MetroWest Health foundation has continued to pivot and is offering grants that seek to address issues in a more comprehensive way, beyond our emergency grants.
The MetroWest Health Foundation’s mission is to improve the health status of the community, its individuals and families through informed and innovative leadership. The foundation serves the following communities: Ashland, Bellingham, Dover, Framingham, Franklin, Holliston, Hopedale, Hopkinton, Hudson, Marlborough, Medfield, Medway, Mendon, Milford, Millis, Natick, Needham, Norfolk, Northborough, Sherborn, Southborough, Sudbury, Wayland, Wellesley and Westborough.
Priority Areas
- COVID 19 Emotional Resiliency – The MetroWest Health foundation seeks to improve the emotional resiliency of those disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.
- COVID 19 Public Health Capacity Building – The foundation seeks to support municipal public health departments in addressing the pandemic.
- COVID 19 Social Isolation Among Older Adults – The foundation will support agencies serving older adults to develop new and/or convert existing programs to a virtual or socially distanced format with the goal of promoting social engagement.
- Health Equity – The foundation provides support to address health inequities through increasing cultural competency of organizations and improving access to services for disenfranchised populations.
- Vaping Prevention, Cessation and Education – The MetroWest Health foundation will support prevention, cessation and education program activities designed to decrease youth e-cigarette use.

COVID 19 Emotional Resiliency
- The maximum grant amount is $30,000.
- Grants are for one year.
COVID 19 Public Health Capacity Building
- The minimum grant amount is 10000 to 20000.
- The maximum grant amount is $30,000.
- MetroWest Health Grants are for one year.
COVID 19 Social Isolation among Older Adults
- Grants are for a maximum of $25,000 and
- It will be funded for one year.
Health Equity
- MetroWest Health Grants are for a maximum of $30,000.
- Grants are made for one year.
Vaping Prevention, Cessation and Education
- Grants are for a maximum of $30,000.
- Grants are made for one year.
Eligibility Criteria
- The MetroWest Health foundation supports programs that directly benefit the health of those who live and work in one of the 25 communities served by the foundation.
- Such support is limited to organizations that qualify as tax-exempt under Section 501(c) 3 of the IRS Code, or organizations that are recognized as instrumentalities of state or local government.
