The National Institutes of Health is seeking applications for its program entitled ” Interaction of HIV and Neurodevelopment of Children in Resource-Limited Settings: Improving Assessments” to focus on the development and/or improvement of tools and/or materials for the neurodevelopmental assessment of cognitive functioning of children, and their implementation in resource-limited settings with high rates of HIV.

The importance of non-invasive assessment of child cognitive development using neuropsychological approaches is necessary for the monitoring of normally-developing achievement, as well as emerging and continuing cognitive deficits related to HIV as well as its treatment.
