Nominations Open for 2020 Children’s Climate Prize

Australian High Commission in Port Louis launches Direct Aid Program (DAP) 2020-21

Deadline: 21 September 2020

Nominations are now open for the 2020 Children’s Climate Prize for innovative and groundbreaking ideas and solutions that drive and facilitate sustainable development. The goal is to support young people around the world with the ambition to drive public opinion, technological development and innovation in the fields of the climate and environment.

Based on the understanding that it is the children’s future that is at stake, the prize aims to highlight the youth perspective on the issue of climate change. The Children’s Climate Prize is founded by the Swedish renewable electricity company TelgeEnergi and it is they, in partnership with Blueair, a world-leader in air purification, that are behind the award.

The Children’s Climate Prize invites and appreciates initiatives that cross several areas and operate across different borders. Individuals, a group or an organization can nominate themselves or be nominated by someone else. The award is international so nominations from all over the world are welcome.

The specially appointed jury nominates five finalists, one of whom is the winner. If you are chosen as one of this year’s finalists, we will need to validate your nominated entry. Projects, inventions, gadgets or organizations must work as planned and have a directly positive impact on the climate and environment.
