Deadline: 30-Apr-2025
The Afrocab Treatment Access Partnership is pleased to announce the call for proposals for small grants under the Unitaid-funded THRIVE Project to empower national networks of People Living with HIV (PLHIV), their affiliated networks, and community-based organizations (CBOs) to advance advocacy, influence policy, and implement community-led interventions aimed at strengthening responses to Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) at both the national and community levels in Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
The primary objective of this project is to significantly reduce mortality among adults and children living with HIV who have AHD by improving access to critical prevention, diagnostic, and treatment resources. This effort emphasizes local leadership and community-driven solutions.
The small grants aim to strengthen community engagement in national and local health interventions, particularly in the context of Advanced HIV Disease (AHD). AFROCAB’s objective is to support networks of PLHIV and CBOs in developing locally driven solutions that directly address the needs of vulnerable populations. These grants will promote community-led decision-making and interventions, ensuring that projects are scalable, replicable, and sustainable beyond the initial grant period to drive long-term, impactful change.
