Wannon Water is currently accepting applications for the Ripple Effect Grants Program to support projects and initiatives that align with the community strategy, make a significant and positive change within the local community, and are great value for money.
Focus Areas
- Regional prosperity
- Initiatives that will build capacity with a focus on leadership, engagement, partnership, strategy and advocacy e.g. field days, leadership forums.
- Education, training and volunteering
- Initiatives that will promote access to quality education, training and volunteering pathways e.g. school fetes.
- Health and wellbeing
- Initiatives that will enhance public health and physical and mental wellbeing e.g. sporting groups, fun runs.
- Natural environment
- Initiatives that promote healthy and sustainable ecosystems e.g. tree planting days.
Grant Streams
- Community grants
- Grants of up to $5,000 are available for projects being delivered in the Wannon Water service region.
- International aid grants
- Grants of up to $4,000 are available for projects being delivered overseas.
- School-based grants
- Local schools can apply for up to $1,000 towards for school-based projects.
Out of Scope
- Applications that fall outside the scope of the program will not be considered including those that:
- Are being held outside the service region.
- May attract adverse community response.
- Involve open-ended sponsorship or naming rights.
- Discriminate adversely against any people, organisations or groups.
- Support organisations that derive primary income from, or are significantly linked to, tobacco, gaming or alcohol industries.
- Have visible links to political or lobby groups.
Who is Eligible?
- They support community initiatives and projects, and give priority to community-based, not-for-profit organisations throughout the service region.
