The BirdLife International is accepting applications for the Small Grants to strengthen Biodiversity Conservation in Guinea and Sierra Leone.
Key Areas
- This programme aims to support projects that will:
- Reduce threats to Globally Threatened Species
- Enhance protection and management of Key Biodiversity Areas
- Reduce habitat loss/improve habitat quality
- Improve the resilience of local communities
Funding Information
- Project Budget: Maximum USD 50,000 per grant
Duration
- Projects can start on 1 July 2025 and must be completed no later than 31 December 2026 (maximum duration of 18 months).
Eligible Projects
- Projects will need to focus on one or both of the following conservation areas:
- Species: Projects will need to protect Globally Threatened Species (Critically Endangered, Endangered, Vulnerable) in Guinea and/or Sierra Leone
- Sites: Projects will need to protect or improve the management of Key Biodiversity Areas in Guinea and/or Sierra Leone
Eligibility Criteria
- Civil Society Organisations in Guinea and Sierra Leone are invited to submit proposals in French or English.
- Interested CSOs must meet the following criteria to be eligible for selection:
- Applicants must be registered as a non-governmental organisation.
- Applicants must have previous experience in the implementation of conservation projects in Guinea or Sierra Leone.
