Deadline: 30-Jun-25
The Sophie and Karl Binding Foundation is accepting requests for support to provide financial contributions to projects in the Environment, Social Works and Culture sections.
What they support?
- You can send them your requests for support in the following fields of action: biodiversity and landscape, inclusion of children and adolescents, social cohesion, cultural heritage – architectural monuments and arts – early music.
- Biodiversity and landscape field of action
- The Binding Foundation promotes the enhancement, interconnection and expansion of natural habitats, primarily in areas where endangered species are present and which have a great potential for species diversity. Secondly, the Foundation is committed to the conservation and enhancement of landscape spaces rich in structures and characterized by high quality.
- The Foundation promotes practical, science-based interventions in exemplary projects. By communicating the results achieved, they also seek to raise awareness among the population – and decision makers – of the value of biodiversity and richly structured, almost natural cultivated landscapes that can contribute to shaping local identity.
- Integration of children and adolescents
- The Binding Foundation promotes the integration of children and adolescents in the processes of education, vocational training and entry into the world of work. Priority is given to disadvantaged children and adolescents whose difficult environment makes it more difficult to integrate into society.
- Work integration of adolescents
- The Binding Foundation works with socially disadvantaged adolescents (poverty, migration background, etc.) to enable them to start their working lives successfully, particularly in the transition from school to apprenticeship and then to employment.
- Extracurricular education for school-age children
- They encourage extracurricular offerings for the care and promotion of disadvantaged children, especially those that allow them to have artistic-musical or motor experiences.
- Prevention of violence
- The Binding Foundation supports projects that help protect children and adolescents from violence.
- Social Cohesion
- The Binding Foundation promotes equal opportunities and social participation by working to promote exchange and understanding across social, linguistic and geographical borders.
- Cultural heritage field of action
- Monuments
- The Binding Foundation promotes the conservation of monuments of considerable historical or architectural value in order to ensure their long-term preservation as a basis for identity, orientation and integration into the local fabric.
