The Community Foundation for Staffordshire has launched the Sports Stafford Borough: Coaching Grant Programme.
The aim of the fund is to encourage and support organisations and their members by obtaining coaching certificates.
The Sports Stafford Borough Grants scheme allocates funds to talented sports performers, local sports clubs and local sports coaches. They have three different pots available for people to apply to, depending on their requirements:
- Sports Award – (apply via Grants for Community Groups)
- Coaching Grant – (apply via Grants for Community Groups)
- Scholarship for individuals – (apply via Grants for individuals)
Funding Information
- Grants of up to £1,000 are available
Projects they can support
- Your project must be supporting the following types of beneficiaries;
- People resident in Stafford borough, including Stone and the surrounding villages
- Sports performers
- Sports clubs
- Sports coaches
Geographical Reach
- They will support organisations based in, or working for the benefit of people in the following local authority areas;
- Stafford
Eligibility Criteria
- This programme is able to consider applications from;
- Voluntary, non-profit making groups with membership that is open to all.
- Local sports clubs and organisations.
Ineligibility Criteria
- This programme is not able to offer funding to:
- Statutory agencies and public sector bodies.
- Organisations or projects with a statutory responsibility.
- Organisations who may qualify for assistance from sport, Stafford Borough and Stafford District Art Council (to avoid duplication of Borough Council funding).
- Party political activities.
