The Stafford Borough Council has announced its Sports Stafford Borough Grants Scheme to allocate funds to talented sports performers, local sports clubs and local sports coaches.
The aim of the fund is to encourage and support organisations that offer sporting activities to residents of the Stafford borough.
Funding Information
- Grants of up to £1,000 are available.
Eligible Costs
- Sports Grant Aid: Local sports clubs and organisations can apply to this fund if they require money for things such as new equipment or improvements to their buildings or facilities.
Eligible Projects
- Your project must be supporting the following types of beneficiary:
- People resident in Stafford borough, including Stone and the surrounding villages
- Sports performers
- Sports clubs
- Sports coaches
Eligibility Criteria
- This programme is able to consider applications from:
- Voluntary, non-profit making groups with membership that is open to all.
- Local sports clubs and organisations.
Ineligibility Criteria
- This programme is not able to offer funding to:
- Non-constituted community groups
- Non-constituted voluntary groups
- Organisations that have been established less than 12 months
- Organisations that do not have a proven track record of service delivery
- Limited companies, sole traders or partnerships without charitable aims
- Organisations with an annual income of more than £1,000,000
- Statutory agencies and public sector bodies.
- Organisations or projects with a statutory responsibility.
- Organisations who may qualify for assistance from sport, Stafford Borough and Stafford District Art Council (to avoid duplication of Borough Council funding).
- Party political activities.
- Not for the promotion of religious causes.
- Medical research and animal welfare.
Application Requirements
- All documents should be submitted at the time of application:
- Governing document: for example a Constitution, or Memorandum and Articles of Association
- Accounts: either independently examined, audited or a record of income and expenditure
- Bank statement: No older then 3 months, showing the account name, number and sort code
- Safeguarding & Prevent policy: if available
- Equality policy: if available
- Public liability insurance
- Quotes for equipment costs.
