The Better World Books is accepting submissions open for the Literacy Grants Program to support projects aimed at addressing literacy challenges, enhance educational opportunities, and expand access to reading for individuals of all ages.
This is an opportunity to secure funding to amplify your organization’s work and to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of literacy and education.
They encourage applications from organizations engaged in initiatives that address literacy challenges, enhance educational opportunities, and expand access to reading for individuals of all ages.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations must be based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada or Ireland but can champion projects outside its home country.
- They are only able to accept one application per organization. Additional applications will be disqualified from the selection process.
- You may submit an application for a project serving early literacy in children from birth to five years old.
- Better World Books Literacy Grants are typically awarded to organizations with a 501(c)(3) or other tax-exempt status. This includes, but is not limited to, libraries, pre- schools, public schools, nurseries, churches, and community centers.
- The project that you are applying for needs to be either a current project or one that is planned to start within the next six (6) to nine (9) months maximum. The grant cannot be used for a project that is fully completed.
- The Better World Books Literacy grant may be used in addition to other funding to maximize the impact of the project.
