The Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe is accepting submissions for the Digital Heritage Grant Program to provide support for creative projects using digital tools to engage larger and more diverse audiences with Jewish heritage such as apps, Virtual Reality (VR) or Augmented Reality (AR) tours, virtual museums etc.
Funding Information
- You can apply for support for an initial 12-month pilot project with an opportunity to apply for further funding. They will consider requests for funding up to £40,000 for the first year and will fund up to 70% of the total project budget. Applications requesting more than this amount will be rejected.
Eligibility Criteria
- They welcome applications from any organisation based in Europe, EU and non-EU states alike, except for Ukraine, Russia and Belarus.
- The organisation’s activities must be deemed charitable under UK charity law, and they will require proof of its charitable status. This includes organisations which are either not-for-profit or publicly funded e.g., state or private libraries, archives, museums, research institutes, universities, cultural centres or non-profit organisations.
- This grant is only for stand-alone digital projects.
Ineligibility Criteria
- They do not fund the following:
- operating costs for schools, synagogues, museums or other heritage or communal institutions
- building and construction work for museums or other heritage or communal institutions
- restoration work of Jewish built heritage
- artistic projects in the fine arts, performing arts, film production and creative writing – including artwork commissioned by museums
- publication and translation of academic books
