Submissions are now open for the HCLTech Grant Program to strengthen and empower NGOs, engage with them, as well as recognize them for their path-breaking work.
Currently focused on rural development. HCLTech Grant is designed to support breakthrough projects proposed by NGOs that have a proven track record of evident impact, high credibility, and a distinct ability to deliver.
HCLTech Grant is HCLTech’s contribution towards Nation Building and is also one of the flagship programs under HCLFoundation, as part of its initiatives under the Corporate Social Responsibility.
Categories
- With the launch of Edition XI, HCLTech Grant will now recognize impactful work in four crucial categories:
- Biodiversity,
- Water,
- Health, and
- Education.
Funding Information
- The winning NGO in each of these categories will receive a grant of ₹ 5 Crore (US$0.60 million) each for a comprehensive four-year project.
- Additionally, eight runners-up NGOs, each receiving ₹ 50 Lakhs (US$0.06 million) for a two-year project.
- This significant increase in funding and project duration brings the total committed fund for the HCLTech Grant to ₹ 24 Crores (US$2.9 million).
- This strategic shift underscores HCL Foundation dedication to enabling deeper and more sustainable impact on the ground.
Eligibility Criteria
- The organization must be a registered not for profit entity in India i.e. either a Society or a Trust or a Section 8 (previously Section 25) company or any other organization (as prescribed under Section 135 of The Companies Act, 2013, the CSR Rules 2014, and its amendments).
- The organization must have registered u/s 80G of The Income-tax, 1961. (including organizations who have successfully submitted application for renewal of 80G certificate, subject to further scrutiny).
- The organization must have registered u/s 12A of The Income-tax, 1961. (Including organizations who have successfully submitted application for renewal of 12A certificate, subject to further scrutiny.)
- The organization must have registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs as CSR Implementing Agency through Form No. CSR-1. (including organizations who have successfully submitted application, subject to further scrutiny
- All applicant organizations must have minimum 5 years or above functional existence (as per their registration certificate) in India on or before 31st March 2025, applying under Biodiversity, Water, Health, and Education category.
- All applicant organizations must have average expenditure (as per income & expenditure account) of minimum ₹ 50 Lakhs or above for the last three financial years viz. 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24, applying under Biodiversity, Water, Health, and Education category.
