In the framework of the current Cooperation Agreement in Science and Technology, The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) and The Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan (MID Uzbekistan) invite universities, research centers and institutes to submit joint proposals for Research and Development (R&D) projects.
A R&D project should focus on producing new knowledge; making new scientific interpretations or solving technological problems based on scientific principles.
Objective
- The aim of the call is to allow partners to collaborate internationally, and gain access to new research environments, facilities, knowledge, and expertise, in order to enhance the quality of their research and enable them to translate research and innovation into economic and societal benefit.

- This call is opened for applications in all scientific and technological areas.
Funding Information
- As a rule, Turkish partners that are eligible for funding can receive up to 1.250.000 Turkish Liras (excl. overhead and Project Incentive Premium (PIP) approximately) per project.
- Also, Uzbek partners that are eligible for funding can receive up to 1.500.000.000 Uzbek Sum (UZS) per project.
- Duration: The duration of the projects should not exceed two years (24 months) and the total duration of international visits should not exceed two months (60 days) per year for the each supported joint research project
- The costs of exchange of experts, scientists and other specialists will be covered on the following basis:
- The sending Party will meet all related costs connected with travel, lodging and allowances according to their own regulations.
- The sending Party shall be responsible for the emergency health insurance of its scientists.
Eligibility Criteria
- Higher education institutions within the scope of the Higher Education Law,
- Training and research hospitals,
- Public institutions and organizations,
- Capital companies (private institutions) established in Turkey that create added value at the firm level and have trade registry documents, regardless of the sector and size.
Criteria
- The partners should come to an agreement with each other using their own means of communication and jointly develop and complete their project proposal before submitting it to TÜBİTAK and MID Uzbekistan. TÜBİTAK and MID Uzbekistan do not match the collaborating partners
- The proposals should be prepared in English.
- Project proposals must provide detailed information on the objectives and justification of the planned joint research work, the methodology to be followed, the composition of each research team and the intended time schedule.
- Submission of proposals by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.
Ineligible
- Applications are not accepted from foundations, associations and their economic enterprises, cooperatives, unions, sole proprietorships and ordinary partnerships.
