TasNetworks has launched the Community Grants Program to support local community groups and not-for-profit organisations to deliver projects that make a real difference across Tasmania.
Focus Areas
- This year’s program is again focused on empowering communities to tackle two key challenges:
- Enhancing community resilience
- Easing cost-of-living pressures
Funding Information
- Grants of up to $10,000 are available for incorporated organisations or ACNC-registered charities delivering projects that align with these focus areas.
Funding Criteria
- All Applications will be assessed by an assessment panel against a range of criteria, including:
- fulfilling community needs in relation to community resilience and cost-of-living pressures
- proposal clarity and detail
- project’s impact and innovation
- feasibility and resource allocation
- community engagement and inclusivity
- long term community benefits.
Eligibility Criteria
- They’ll consider applications:
- from incorporated entities or charities registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC)
- delivering projects in Tasmania
- aimed at addressing one or both of the focus areas.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Applications they won’t consider:
- projects undertaken outside of Tasmania
- provision of free or discounted electrical infrastructure, electricity, or any other core product
- initiatives with poor safety and/or environmental outcomes
- any project, event or organisation that could be inconsistent with the vision or role in the Tasmanian community
- individual, or fundraising campaigns
- where the applicant is a for-profit organisation or unincorporated entity.
