The Embassy of Finland in Kyiv is seeking applications for its Local Cooperation Fund 2017 (LCF) with an aim to support local (Ukrainian) non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
The objective of the LCF is to support strong and active civil society organizations, which is an important component of functioning democracy and open society.
Priority Areas
- Human rights and equality, especially of vulnerable groups, women, youth and children.
- Democracy and good governance, especially complementing the reform process of Ukraine, rule of law and anti-corruption.
- Environmental protection, especially conservation of biodiversity.
Funding Information
- The Embassy’s Local Cooperation Fund for 2017 is € 100,000, which will be distributed to selected applicants (usually 3-5 of them).
- The budget for a proposed project must not exceed € 50 000, but it should also not be less than € 10 000.
- The projects proposed are typically for one year, but must be completed latest by November 2018.
Eligibility Criteria
- In some cases types of organizations such as educational and research institutions, independent media, and cultural organizations can be considered eligible.
- In every case, the project must be qualified as official development assistance (ODA) and fit within the outlines of the official development policy of Finland.

- The applicants should fill the application form, and submitted it at the address given on the website with “LCF and the name of applicant’s organization” as the subject line.
- The form must be filled in English language.
