The FairWays Foundation Grant Program supports conservation-based projects where the belief and commitment demonstrated offer a meaningful contribution to long term change.
The very heart of the foundation lies in the green industry and they are committed to further supporting both industry partners and their local communities, they believe that the push for change must continue to come from the grass roots level, these are the voices which speak loudest to The FairWays Foundation.
Focus Areas
- They directly fund local and global projects that demonstrate an aspiration to protect the natural resources. The cornerstone of successful applicants will highlight undertakings in the following key focus areas:
- Water Conservation & Stewardship – Projects that focus on property improvements or changing maintenance practices to reduce water use or increase water quality
- Habitat Conservation & Stewardship – Projects that focus on property improvements or changing maintenance practices to benefit native ecosystems
- Water Education – Projects that focus on informing the community about the problems, efforts, and future of the turf and ornamental industry’s water use and availability
Funding Information
- The foundation funds projects between $1,000 and $25,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The FairWays Foundation supports Global Projects.
- Ultimately the aim is to proportionately allocate funds depending on level of revenue accumulated per geography, however the board have the right to direct funds into any meaningful application regardless of geography.
- Each application will be fully considered, and feedback will be given to unsuccessful applications.
- You do not have to be a golf related entity to apply. They consider applications from the green industry and wider communities. If the project fits into one of the three pillars; conservation, stewardship and education, then they will consider it.
Ineligibility Criteria
- They do not fund:
- Applications outside the three key focus areas
- Expansions of general operating expenses / capital improvements
- Event sponsorships including promotional items
- Political campaigns
- Research
- Individuals
