Toyohashi Agri Meetup has launched its Agritech Contest to create a bright future for agriculture in Toyohashi City by recruiting startups from all over the country that solve the problems faced by farmers in Toyohashi City, matching them with farmers in the city.
Themes
- Theme 01: Of land-use crops Increased productivity
- It is a production area of outdoor vegetables such as cabbage and broccoli, and is also famous as a production area of Jiro persimmon as a fruit tree.
- The Agri Meetup aims to further develop Toyohashi’s outdoor vegetables and fruit trees through pest control, labor saving in cultivation and harvesting, and productivity improvement.
- Theme 02: Advancement of greenhouse horticulture
- It is an area where greenhouse horticulture such as flowers and vegetables is thriving, and where many manufacturers of agricultural materials such as greenhouses are concentrated.
- Work to improve productivity against soaring fuel and labor costs through the advancement of greenhouse horticulture technology.
- Theme 03: Sustainable energy Development of agricultural materials
- Furthermore, since there is a need to shift to environmentally friendly agriculture, the Agri Meetup will work to create models for sustainable energy and agricultural materials through the development and introduction of new technologies.
- Theme 04: Local agriculture Human resource development
- While there are issues such as soaring labor costs and a decrease in the number of farmers, the Agri Metup will work to develop human resources that support local agriculture through securing and training human resources, improving work productivity, and labor management.
- Theme 05: Connecting producers and consumers smart supply chain
- The Agri Meetup will build a supply chain that widely delivers Toyohashi’s attractive agricultural products from producers to consumers through efficient collection, demand forecasting, logistics, branding of agricultural products, and development of new sales channels.

- Problem solving department
- It is a solution that allows the demonstration development project to start in Toyohashi City within the 5th year of Reiwa after the end of this contest, and is a proposal aiming for social implementation about two years after the start of the demonstration development project. The solution is not just a proposal for existing products and services, but a proposal that focuses on solving agricultural problems in Toyohashi City.
- future creation department
- This is a solution that will enable the demonstration development project to start in Toyohashi City within the 5th year of Reiwa after the end of this contest, and is a proposal aimed at social implementation about five years after the start of the demonstration development project. Solutions can be proposed at the basic research stage.
Eligibility Criteria
Individuals and corporations who can implement initiatives to solve and improve issues faced by Toyohashi City agriculture stakeholders (producers, JA, agricultural business companies, etc.)
