The Tire Stewardship BC is accepting applications for the Community Grant Program to promote the use and benefit of recycled tire products, and, they can provide financial support to communities that have decided to use recycled tire products for their projects.
Funding Information
- Applicants must contribute an amount equal to or greater than the requested grant, up to a maximum of $30,000
Eligible Projects
- A project that uses recycled tire products (e.g., rubber tile surfacing, pour-in-place surfacing) made in BC from BC recycled tires and is fully public and wheelchair accessible.
- Projects include, but are not limited to, playgrounds, water parks or fitness areas, walkways, and running tracks.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible Applicants
- Not-for-profit organizations within the province of BC including: municipalities; registered non-profit community groups or organizations; schools/colleges/universities; First Nations and Métis settlements; etc.
- Grants are provided on a matching funds basis.
- To be eligible, projects must be fully accessible to the public, including wheelchair access. Additionally, the projects must use products made in BC from BC scrap tires, with a written warranty. Please note that completed projects are not eligible for funding.
