The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) invites Civil Society Institutions, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and/or Non-Governmental Legal Entities operating in the Kyrgyz Republic to take part in the call for proposals for “Implementation of Small Grants to Support Initiatives of Young People at Risk and Community Members in Development own business, entrepreneurship and/or startups”.
The Low-Value Grant Goal: To support at-risk young men and women (youth) and community members to enable their own businesses, entrepreneurship and/or startups in pilot regions.
Objectives
- Announce a program to support local youth initiatives among 14 target communities.
- Carry out the necessary monitoring and control over the implementation of youth initiatives, with appropriate documentation of the process (collection and processing of data based on the results, photo reports, etc.).
Funding Information
- The maximum allowable budget is up to USD $120,000.
- Duration: All projects shall be implemented within the period starting from the signing of the Low-Value Grant Agreement with UNDP till June 30, 2021.
Expected Outcomes
- At least 50 youth benefitted from the local youth initiatives support programme.
- At least half of the beneficiaries of local initiatives are young girls.
Eligibility Criteria
- Civil Society Organizations, Non-governmental Organizations and/or non-governmental legal entities established and registered in the Kyrgyz Republic (hereinafter the Applicant).
- Proposals from a consortium of two or more non-profit organizations established and registered in the Kyrgyz Republic shall be accepted.
- All Consortium members – Low-Value Grant Applicants shall be legal entities established and registered in the Kyrgyz Republic as non-profit organizations in accordance with the current legislation.
- The Applicant shall submit the project proposal on behalf of one of the organizations authorized by the consortium member organizations to represent the consortium, with all subsequent commitments to its members and the Grantor.
- The Low-Value Grant applicant shall have proven experience working with vulnerable youth;
- The applicant has a network of representative offices/branches in the south and north of the Kyrgyzstan;
- The Low-Value Grant Applicant shall have a network of representative offices/branches in Chui and Osh oblasts.
- The Low-Value Grant will be awarded through public call to a winner — the applicant who can cover all 14 target locations or partially (the list is dependent on the proposal of applicants) to support local youth economic empowerment initiatives.
