UNOPS Ukraine is seeking project proposal for its “Climate Change Adaptation in Ukraine”. The project aims to enhance the sustainable development of Ukraine by support in design and implementation of the long-term policies and measures directed at Climate Change adaptation.
In particular the project will support the Government of Ukraine in developing a Climate Change Adaptation pathway for Ukraine’s long-term economic and social development.
Objective
- With this Call for Proposals UNOPS seeks to competitively select qualified organizations (Responsible Partners) that will provide professional advisory services including expert and technical support for implementation of the Project Climate Change Adaptation in Ukraine. The Responsible Partner should provide the project with the expert knowledge of climate policy, climate change adaptation, technical capacity building and implementation of practical adaptation measures in European agricultural sectors.
- In Particular the Responsible Partner should perform the following duties:
- Technical advice for the development of components of Ukraine’s national adaptation strategy
- Technical advice for the development and implementation of specific adaptation measures in Ukraine’s agricultural sector.
Deliverables
The Responsible Partner shall produce the following deliverables:
- Technical advice for the development of components of Ukraine’s national adaptation strategy
- Technical advice for the development and implementation of specific adaptation measures in Ukraine’s agricultural sector.
- A specific list of deliverables will be provided by UNOPS after the decision on project funding has been reached
Requirements
- General: The Responsible Partner must be an internationally recognized provider of independent consulting services for European agricultural sector and quantification climate change adaptation benefits and have experience working with German government funding facilities.
- Competence:
- At least five years of comprehensive experience in providing of the professional consulting services in agricultural sector and climate change adaptation;
- Adequate human resources base and logistic facilities to carry out the tasks;
- Available experts/specialists to ensure timely and quality execution of the tasks (CVs of all experts/specialists to be involved in the study should be attached) – offer or shall propose a team of at least three experts: Senior Technical Advisor/Team Leader and experts;
- Capability to prepare high-quality Reports in English (Ukrainian is an asset).
