Deadline: 3-December-2025
The Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES) has launched the 2026 edition of its Young Leaders Training Programme, an initiative dedicated to strengthening the political participation of young men and women involved in civil society, trade unions, and political parties in Cameroon.
For the 2026 edition, 25 young women and men will be selected to participate in 8 two-day training sessions (Thursday to Friday), organized at the end of each month from March to October 2026, either in person or online (Zoom). These sessions will cover a variety of topics: political leadership, strategic communication, democratic values, and operational management tools.
The programme aims to empower young individuals who are eager to contribute to social and political transformation within their communities. By bringing together participants from diverse backgrounds, it seeks to foster collaboration, leadership development, and civic engagement. Each training session will provide practical knowledge and tools essential for effective participation in democratic processes and organizational management.
Eligible candidates must be aged between 18 and 35 at the time of application, reside in Cameroon, and be available for all sessions of the program. They must hold a university degree or be in the process of obtaining their first degree. Applicants are also required to be politically or socially active and involved in an organization, a project, a union, or a political party.
Applications must be submitted no later than December 3, 2025, at 6 p.m. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted in January for individual interviews, which will take place between January and February 2026, either at the offices in Yaoundé or online via Zoom.
