New Grants to Promote and Protect the Rights of Indigenous Populations

Every year on August 9th, the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples is observed. This day is dedicated to advancing the rights of indigenous peoples worldwide and bringing attention to their distinctive cultures, languages, and traditions. The purpose of this day is to draw attention to the difficulties that indigenous communities face, including discrimination, problems with their rights to their land, environmental issues, and social injustices.

This year’s theme is “Indigenous Youth as Agents of Change for Self-determination.
