Request for Proposals: Climate Gender Equity Fund

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), with the support of Amazon, has launched the Climate Gender Equity Fund (CGEF, or the Fund) – a public-private partnership to leverage funding to scale climate finance that advances gender equitable climate action.
CGEF’s grantmaking will be managed by 2X Global, an international non-profit membership organization and the leading global industry body working at the nexus of climate and gender finance. CGEF aims to increase access to finance for the investment vehicles, businesses, and community-based organizations developing and scaling women-led and women benefiting climate solutions in global emerging markets where USAID operates.

USAID Development Innovation Ventures

Through a year-round grant competition, Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) sources proposals for innovations that address international development challenges and improve the lives of people living in poverty in developing countries around the world. DIV provides tiered funding to pilot, test, and transition to scale (i.e., grow to reach the highest number of beneficiaries possible) those innovations that demonstrate evidence of impact, cost-effectiveness, and the potential to scale.
DIV funds four types of grants. Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 grants follow a tiered approach that aligns the funding amount to the strength of the evidence of impact, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of the proposed innovation. Evidence Generation grants are reserved for rigorous evaluations of already scaled or scaling development solutions that lack sufficient rigorous evidence of impact and cost-effectiveness.

Applications are now open for the Middle East Regional Cooperation (MERC) Program to enhance research and development cooperation between Israel and its regional neighbours – in support of achieving a comprehensive and lasting Middle East peace.
The MERC Program is funded as assistance to promote scientific cooperation, technology-led development, and capacity building between partners in Israel and eligible countries/territories in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. USAID Disaster Risk Management Activity (Ethiopia)

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Ethiopia is seeking applications for a cooperative agreement from qualified entities to implement the USAID Disaster Risk Management Activity.
Ethiopia faces frequent and severe shocks, but capacity to manage disaster risks is limited, particularly at subnational level. Critical investments are needed to strengthen DRM to enable anticipatory and early action and reduce humanitarian need.
USAID/Ethiopia intends to award a five-year assistance activity entitled “USAID Disaster Risk Management Activity” referred to henceforth as “the activity”. The purpose of the activity is to enable timely anticipatory and early action to preempt crises and reduce the impact of shocks in Ethiopia by strengthening disaster risk management (DRM) planning and preparedness, improving DRM coordination, and enhancing resource mobilization and management. The activity will also strengthen gender in emergencies (GiE) capacity, increase private sector engagement in DRM, and expand local organizations’ capacity to engage in DRM. The activity will support the implementation of Ethiopia’s new Disaster Risk Management Policy and Disaster Risk Finance Strategy.

The USAID program “Competitive Economy of Ukraine” (KEU), which is implemented by the company “Kimonix International”, accepts grant applications from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of private ownership, business associations, non-governmental organizations, business communities and other organizations for the development of entrepreneurship (ORP) for the implementation of measures lasting up to 10 months, aimed at preserving and creating jobs, in particular, through qualification improvement, retraining and employment of employees of enterprises (including internally displaced persons) who lost their jobs as a result of the war and/or would like to move to a new industry (switchers), implementation of incubation/acceleration programs for the development of entrepreneurship, self-employment and export capabilities of enterprises.
