PsychCare Humaniterex Foundation ( Centre for rehabilitation & Health Promotion) located in No.24, Line 2D, Aladanla, Osun State Nigeria. As part of our program we give food to widows, orphans, abandoned frail aged, and vagrants on the street. We pick drug addicts from the street for rehabilitation and there millions of them found in every settlement in Nigeria. The terrorism hit areas of Plateau, Benue and Kaduna with over 2 million displaced people living in IDF camps. Sincerely, there are millions of people living in hunger here. Government is owing workers their salaries and dependants are more than the workers. This itself is a crisis situation driving many young girls to prostitution to source for feeding. Please, respond

We have access to 3,000,000 meals every year plus we provide seed along with the food delivery. Fuel for farmers. Our only hiccup is logistics. Does this grant apply to this need. We have already been doing so but find the logistics challenging funds wise

  • Avatar Solomon says:

    Dear Ritu at fundsforNGOs
Really, it’s a good program as per its vision/aims, but if actually you want to positively address the issues you have stated, must it be through NGO? Why not formed your own contact points in the affected areas/region that will carryout your mission effectively? In my state, Adamawa, Nigeria, more than hundreds NGO have registered to curb the same situations, but with latent positive impact. I’m from MIchika L..G Adamawa State, North eastern part of Nigeria. This L.G.is among the area worst hit by insurgency and i’m still living in that area with my family, but i have never receive any assistance as airing by NGO and other Bodies. My people are still dying of hunger and poverty, where are the NGOs? Even if assistance is rendered there is little justification if at all it exist. Pls, form your own contact point with those who are facing that challenges if you are really out to help.

    • Avatar Ritu at fundsforNGOs says:

      Hi Solomon,

We understand how difficult it is to secure donor funding.
Donors receive thousands of applications from NGOs around the world and it may not be that easy for them to respond to each one of them. Fundraising is a long and tiring process but feeds us with new learnings and understanding.
At this point, we may not be able to guarantee anything, but we will try our best to help you reach out to the best donors.
Please find some great opportunities for Nigeria by visiting https://www2.fundsforngos.org/tag/Nigeria/

      Good luck!

  • Avatar Planwell club of Nigeria says:

During the Nigeria civil war, people ran for safety to the remote river rine area of what was then known as Anambara and today Ebonyi state. The area is more like Ireland. It is the joint of Ebonyi and the river crossriver. Those who survived the war mostly died of hunger. The few who survived the hunger found no reason to still go out since their lives is full of misery and fear and danger. They then begin to cultivate the land, haunt and fish in order to feed. That was how they developed to village of which is today known as OGAGBO(I shall not die by war) community in Ikwo local government area, Ebonyi state Nigeria. As the population grow, their economic system is still facing a big challenge of hunger, health, flooding and lack of infrastructural facility as the government never shown them any recognition. The villagers has always strived to survive by means of farming but flood has ever been their chief challenge. As of December to January they start farming work of cassava, pepper and vegetable.February to march they plant groundnut and corn and between march and April they farm rice. Meanwhile, because of the frequent flooding the land seems to be very fetile in that they do not even apply any fertiliser, however if flood delayed before comming they start harvesting their crop between the third and fourth month after planting. Unfortunately, Flood doesn’t allow them to do normal harvest because ordinary rain of the first year causes flooding into their farms and remained till full rainy season which comes fully between July to October. By then the little they were able to recover from the flood has all been consumed still leaving the village in perpetual hunger. Our government has been so adamant, neglective, non-considerabe and charitable to the minor community.
As a matter of fact, The PLANWELL ORANISATION, a non govermental organisation that has committed themselves to to the wellfare of the less privileged, has occassionilly delivered food, clothing’s, shelter (in some cases) and health support to this community. we have also offered some skill acquisition to some of them. However, hunger grows as the population liably grows. Moreover we are also comittted to other communities such as Igbudu, Inyimagu and Amagu who are affected by crisis. We therefore request your support as we look forward to extend our goal nationwide. We also commend your goal and mission of a world free of hunger. Collectively this will be achieved.
