Top Grants and Donors for Tackling Discrimination

The stigma of discrimination is somewhere deep rooted in our society. Whether it is gender, skin color or social class; people have set standards of what is socially acceptable. People around the world are facing this stigma which also culminates numerous cases involving violence and injustice.

Men and Women both contribute and build society and have different roles to play. Knowing this fact, gender discrimination against women is most prevalent in society. It is the common cause that results in violence against women.

People living with HIV/AIDS are also facing the stigma of discrimination and negative attitudes of people. The society as per their set standards exclude these people from various societal activities — Myths and lack of education increase the stigma and discrimination surrounding HIV and AIDS.

How can we forget LGBTQ community which is devastatingly affected by this social discrimination stigma that is deeply ingrained in our societies. Traditions and culture make it harder for them to compete for opportunities or to even enjoy peace just being who they are. They seek equality and non-discrimination—rights that they inherently own. To some extent, they have gained big and small wins in its fight for equal rights.

Seeing this stigma of social discrimination prevalent in society, countless NGOs have raised their hands to finally end it from the society. The first and foremost step is to empower and educate people. The set standards need to be changed for the betterment of society.

NGOs are working in partnership with several international organizations to achieve shared aims and objectives. They are providing a platform for expressing and actively addressing the needs of people who are discriminated.

Every year, numerous international organizations and foundations release their funding opportunities for NGOs helping them to end this stigma of discrimination. Therefore, as World Discrimination Day is about to come, we have made a guide on “Top Grants and Donors for Tackling Discrimination” available exclusively for our premium members. Good evening, I think your Premium fees exclude many and therefore discriminatory. You offer all the best opportunities to your elitest club! How can we also have access to this cake, without the US$? We are a small community based organization, which is entirely volunteer based. We are trying to fill the gap in rehabilitation service provision for children with disability in a poor suburb in Harare, Zimbabwe. Constancy and sustainability are challenge! Please assist by re-directing us to where we can get help for poor resourced organizations. Thank you very much in anticipation!!
